I’m Keifer Hendry, Network Administrator II specializing in IT and OT network operations.

I specialize in building and maintaining production-grade infrastructure. Whether it’s architecting resilient systems with 99%+ uptime, managing network operations across IT and OT domains, or solving “impossible” problems under pressure—I deliver results.

What I Do

• Network Architecture & Operations: Design and deploy scalable, secure systems (Proxmox clustering, ZFS storage, zero-trust networking, OT integration)
• Systems Administration: Network security, firewall configuration, VLAN isolation, observability (Prometheus + Grafana)
• IT/OT Integration: Manage both IT infrastructure and operational technology systems with proper segmentation
• Team Leadership: Manage technical teams, mentor technicians, drive innovation and process improvement
• Hardware R&D: Design and optimize robotics systems, custom electronics, 3D printing solutions
• Problem-Solving: Tackle complex, time-critical challenges—from equipment downtime elimination to network optimization

The Journey

I started building computers at 9 years old and never stopped. I’m self-taught through hands-on projects and continuous learning (20+ professional certifications in IT, security, and engineering). Every skill I’ve acquired came from diving deep into problems and building solutions—not just theoretical knowledge.

I’ve coordinated with engineers and management to optimize critical workflows, earning recognition for outstanding customer service and technical excellence. Most recently, I’ve built 3D printing programs that save tens of thousands annually in manufacturing costs and led robotics systems R&D for multiple deployments.

Why My Homelab Matters

My personal infrastructure isn’t just a hobby—it’s a living laboratory for production-grade system design. I maintain a Proxmox cluster with 2-node redundancy, ZFS RAIDZ backup, OPNsense firewall, zero-trust remote access, and real-time monitoring with Prometheus + Grafana. Every architectural decision reflects lessons learned in real-world deployments. This is the skillset that matters in enterprise environments.

What Drives Me

I thrive on learning and solving complex problems. When I encounter new technology or a challenge I haven’t tackled, I dive deep—study, experiment, build, optimize. I don’t just understand systems; I master them. And I don’t keep that knowledge to myself. I believe in empowering teams and sharing what I learn.

I want to work somewhere that challenges me to grow, where I can lead technical teams, and where solving tomorrow’s problems is the day job. I’m looking for roles where I can architect infrastructure, integrate complex IT/OT systems, and drive operational excellence.
